Abstract

É premente a compreensão de todas as estruturas de composição da paisagem, desde a rural à urbana, por parte de todos aqueles que nela operam, desde quem a planeia até a quem a utiliza directa ou indirectamente. A par da estrutura rodoviária, que ninguém nega a importância de continuidade, surgem outras estruturas que necessitam de continuidade, no intuito de permitir o fluxo e regeneração de água, ar, solo, sementes, fauna, flora silvestre e do Homem. desta forma a estrutura ecológica é o suporte garantido da continuidade pretendida, desde a escala nacional à escala local, assegurando e concretizando o continuum naturale e o continuum culturale, passando pela defesa das áreas de máxima sensibilidade previstas pela ren, principalmente em meio rural, até aos espaços verdes urbanos contínuos, confrontados na actualidade pela urgência de vias verdes.
