Abstract(s)
O Clima e a Cultura organizacional estão inseridos no contexto de qualquer organização escolar, sendo influenciados pelo tipo de gestão realizada. O objetivo do estudo foi compreender como a gestão democrática influencia o clima e a cultura organizacional no Centro de Ensino Vinícius de Moraes, escola pública da rede estadual de ensino. Especificamente, intencionou: a) analisar as diferenças e relações entre clima e cultura organizacional escolar; b) mostrar a escola como uma organização; c) verificar as possibilidades de construção da gestão democrática na escola pública; d) descrever a relação entre escola e comunidade na perspectiva da gestão democrática. O percurso metodológico partiu da abordagem qualitativa, tendo como amostras duas gestoras e 50 docentes. O local da pesquisa foi o Centro de Ensino Médio Vinícius de Moraes, em São Luís do Maranhão, no Brasil. A recolha de dados ocorreu por meio de aplicação de questionários (professores e gestores). O conteúdo abrangeu questões referentes à Cultura e ao Clima Organizacional, à gestão democrática e qualidade na escola. O estudo foi além e trouxe uma proposta de intervenção orientada pela aplicação da metodologia de planejamento estratégico como instrumento de gestão democrática.
The Climate and the Organizational Culture are inserted in the context of any school organization, being influenced by the type of management carried out. The aim of the study was to understand how democratic management influences the climate and organizational culture of the Vinícius de Moraes Teaching Center, a public school of the state school system. Specifically, it aimed to: a) analyze the differences and relationships between climate and school organizational culture; b) show the school as an organization; c) verify the possibilities of building democratic management in the public school; d) describe the relationship between school and community in the perspective of democratic management. The methodology was based on the qualitative approach, with two managers and 50 teachers as the sample. The research site was the Vinícius de Moraes High School in São Luís do Maranhão, Brazil. The data collection took place through the application of questionnaires (teachers and managers). The content covered issues related to Culture and Organizational Climate, democratic management and quality in school. This study went further and brought an intervention proposal guided by the application of the strategic planning methodology as a tool for democratic management.
