Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho consistiu no estudo do programa “Educar para reparar: iniciação às práticas restaurativas em contexto prisional” implementado no Estabelecimento Prisional de Paços de Ferreira (EPPF) em 2014 e 2015. O primordial objetivo deste programa é funcionar como promotor para evitar a reincidência.
Perante a escassez de estudos nesta área e por se tratar de uma recente e promissora intervenção em contexto prisional, revelou-se pertinente contribuir para o estudo desta prática através da presente investigação. Para isso, definiu-se como principais objetivos estudar as crenças restaurativas dos reclusos que participaram no programa e compreender a experiências dos mesmos e dos técnicos que o implementaram.
Para o alcance destes objetivos, os reclusos que frequentaram este mesmo programa nestes dois períodos e os técnicos superiores de reeducação responsáveis pela sua implementação, constituíram-se como a amostra do estudo. Os reclusos que frequentaram o programa em 2015 e 2014 foram avaliados através de duas escalas de pós-teste administradas, sendo que estes últimos responderam também uma entrevista semiestruturada com um guião específico para este grupo. Aos técnicos optou-se por aplicar também uma entrevista semiestruturada em que o guião foi construído especificamente para este fim.
Após a recolha dos dados, estes foram submetidos a dois tipos de análise diferentes. As escalas de pós-teste foram submetidas a uma análise estatística e as entrevistas foram alvo de uma análise de conteúdo.
Os resultados do estudo permitiram compreender que o programa tem um impacto significativamente positivo na vida dos reclusos, onde são capazes de adquirir diversas aptidões que irão ajudar na sua reinserção na sociedade. A criação de empatia com as vítimas, o reconhecimento das mesmas, desenvolvimento pessoal, relacionamento interpessoal, consciencialização e responsabilização pelo crime, mudanças familiares e comportamentais, desejo de reparação do dano, são as principais competências desenvolvidas. Podemos também concluir que os reclusos que frequentaram o programa apresentam crenças mais próximas do polo restaurativo.
The present work consists in the study of the program ““Educar para reparar: iniciação às práticas restaurativas em contexto prisional” implemented in Paços de Ferreira Prision between 2014 and 2015. The primary objective of this program is to act as promoter to prevent a recurrence. Due to the lack of studies performed in this area and because this is a new and promising intervention in the prisional scenario, it was shown a great interest to contribute for the study of this practice through the present investigation. In order to do it, it was defined as main objectives the study of the restorative beliefs of the prisoners who have participated in the program and it was assessed their experiences and the ones from the people who implemented the program. To achieve the objectives indicated before, the prisoners who have realized the program in the dates mentioned as well as the education expert team elements responsible for the program implementation, were considered the study sample. The prisoners were evaluated using two post test scales in the end of the program and by using a semi-structured interview specially created for this purpose. After data collection, two types of analysis were performed. The data from the post test scales were statically analysed and for the interviews was performed a content analysis. The results from this study allow the understanding about the significant and positive impacts in the prisoners life after the program and to verify that they have gained a set of different skills that are going to help them in the rehabilitation into society. It should be mentioned that the creation of a certain kind of empathy with the victims and their recognition, personal development, interpersonal relationship, awareness and liability about the crimes, behavioural and familiar changes, desire of damage repair can be pointed as the main skills developed by the prisoners after the program. We can also conclude that prisoners who attended the program have closer to the restorative polo beliefs.
