Introduction: Sleep and food have been an increasingly studied topic in recent years, including during the COVID-19 period, and these two topics listed in the process of the professional activity of teachers who work with students with educational special needs have been a relevant topic. In search of delving into the subject, the general objective of this investigation was to evaluate the activity and strategies that Brazilian teachers use with their students with educational special needs and to know the sleep and eating habits of these teachers before and during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Methodology: Participated in the data collection, 21 teachers who teach students with SENs in the cognitive and motor domain. A questionnaire was applied to the teachers of students with educational special needs. It includes questions regarding your sociodemographic data, your teaching activity and your eating and sleeping habits before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of sleep habits before the pandemic showed that the majority of participants 42.9% used to get up before the pandemic at 6 am, while during the pandemic 33.3% of participants got up at 7 a.m. Regarding the hours they used to go to bed before the pandemic, most 38.1 said it was 10 p.m. and during COVID-19 most participants lie in bed between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., leading us to infer that the quality of sleep during the pandemic was smaller than before and as for meals, the amount was greater during the pandemic. Conclusions: regular sleep and quality of diet are important factors for the development of teachers' professional activities, and if there is interference in these items, the quality of teaching tends to be poor.
