Abstract(s)

Furthermore, the research highlights the importance of developing socio-emotional skills, which are fundamental for promoting non-violent behaviors and reducing vulnerability to crime. In this context, it is concluded that full-time, comprehensive education not only provides positive alternatives for young people, but also plays a central role in promoting peace and forming a more just society. It is therefore recommended that public policies aimed at integral education be strengthened and expanded as a way of facing the challenges of crime in Residencial Nova Caiçara and in other communities.
