Abstract(s)
The pandemic known as coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) has spread rapidly around the world, with a significant impact on the lives of the world’s population. The complexity related to the new coronavirus and the clinical syndrome it causes, is still not fully understood. However, the impact of COVID-19 has affected much more than expected. Patients with psoriasis were a group that was greatly harmed, not only because of damage to their health and immune system, but also because of the food imbalance they suffered, due to mandatory isolation, shortage of fresh foods and excess intake of processed foods. This work aimed to highlight the importance of the dietary pattern in patients with diseases of the autoimmune system, referencing the types of diet, healthy and harmful foods for the control and regression of psoriasis, focusing on the global pandemic situation that, in a lot, harmed these patients.
