Abstract(s)
Devido a
aparecer novos agentes patogénicos e outros a reaparecer.
Over the years, man has developed and perfected measures to maintain and extend his health, improving it in terms of its quality. Due to multiple factors this goal is not always achieved, since new pathogens and other pathogens are always on the rise. In recent decades, infectious diseases have been shown to be a relevant cause of disease and / or mortality, contrary to what would be expected due to technological advances and public health measures. The concept of Emerging and Reemerging Disease is ambiguous since they are interconnected, making it relevant to clarify it. There are factors that contribute to the occurrence of Emerging and Reemerging Infectious Diseases, such as: resistance to antibiotics; environmental factors; inadequate public health measures; demographic, social, economic and political factors and changes in technological or industrial processes. This thesis aims to address Emerging and Reemerging Diseases, mentioning some examples, showing the effective responses to the same diseases based on the existence of vaccines, as well as exposing what is new regarding their fight and prevention.
