A EJA – Educação de Jovens e Adultos é uma modalidade de ensino do Brasil, em que o aluno pode cursar o ensino fundamental e médio, com idade superior a adequada para a maioria dos alunos. O EJA, possibilita que os alunos estudem por etapa, inclusive, com a junção de duas séries a serem cursadas no mesmo ano, terminando o aluno, o Ensino Fundamental em 4 anos, e, o ensino médio em 1 ano e 6 meses. Todavia, é muito comum no Brasil, nessa modalidade de ensino, a evasão escolar, que é abandonar durante o ano letivo a escola. No início do ano o aluno efetua sua matrícula e também suas atividades escolares, no entanto, embrenha-se na fuga do estabelecimento de ensino, o que chega a acontecer por um ou vários motivos. A evasão se identifica como um ato evasivo, de forma que, consiste no processo, de escapar, evadir ou fugir dos compromissos. O termo evasão caracteriza o fenômeno da fuga, no caso do ensino, entende-se a evasão pelo abandono escolar no decorrer do período letivo ou, pela não matrícula, sendo este caracterizado como abandono do curso, vez que interrompe com o vinculo estabelecido, entre aluno e escola, pois a não renovação do compromisso de continuar na instituição escolar; entende-se por esta situação por evasão, e é vista como abandono sem intenção de voltar. O objetivo geral do estudo é analisar os fatores que contribuem para a evasão dos alunos do Ensino Fundamental da Educação de Jovens e Adultos do garimpo do Creporizão no município de Itaituba, no Estado do Pará. A metodologia de pesquisa foi do tipo bibliográfica e de campo, esta última inclui entrevista com 4 alunos do EJA noturno, matriculados na Escola do Creporizão, município de Itaituba/Pá. Constatou-se que são muitos os motivos que levam os alunos a abandonarem seus estudos na localidade pesquisada, mas que tem um motivo comum a todos eles. Constatou-se também, que tanto governo e escola, necessitam repensar o ensino dessa modalidade, e, adequá-lo as necessidades dos alunos que se matriculam no EJA.

The EJA allows students to study by stage, including the joining of two series to be taken in the same year, ending the student, Elementary School in 4 years, and high school in 1 year and 6 months. However, it is very common in Brazil, in this modality of teaching, school dropout, which is to abandon the school during the school year. At the beginning of the year the student enrolls and also his school activities, however, is in the flight of the educational establishment, which happens for one or several reasons. Avoidance is identified as an evasive act, so that it consists of the process of escaping, evading or evading commitments. The term evasion characterizes the phenomenon of flight, in the case of education, it is understood that dropping out of school during the academic period or, due to non-enrollment, is characterized as abandonment of the course, since it interrupts with the established link between student and school, because the non-renewal of the commitment to continue in the school institution; this situation is understood by evasion, and is seen as abandonment without intention to return. The general objective of this study is to analyze the factors that contribute to the evasion of elementary and junior high school students from the Creporizão mining area in the city of Itaituba, in the State of Pará. The research methodology was of the bibliographical and field type, this last one includes an interview with 4 students of the nocturnal EJA enrolled in the Escola do Creporizão, Itaituba/Pá. It was found that many reasons lead students to abandon their studies in the locality researched, but that has a motive common to all of them. It was also verified that both government and school need to rethink the teaching of this modality, and to adapt it to the needs of students who enroll in the EJA.
