Abstract(s)
Este projeto apresenta uma reflexão acerca da informação concedida à população reclusa
durante o cumprimento da sua pena ou medida, num estabelecimento prisional. Pretendese
refletir acerca dos direitos dos reclusos nas prisões, especificamente, no que diz
respeito ao direito de esclarecimento de informações quanto aos comportamentos que a
população reclusa deve adotar no meio onde se encontra a cumprir a sua reclusão.
No contexto teórico, será feita uma revisão da literatura sobre a pena privativa da
liberdade e a garantia dos direitos dos reclusos, sendo também abordados vários exemplos
de informações que devem ser transmitidas à população reclusa e seus familiares. Por sua
vez, no contexto empírico, é proposto a realização de um estudo, com recurso à
participação dos reclusos, do regime comum, do Estabelecimento Prisional de Santa Cruz
do Bispo Masculino, onde se propõe a apresentação um folheto informativo e dois,
consequentes, questionários, de forma a apreendermos as informações, que estes possuem
em relação ao estabelecimento prisional a que estão afetos, e de que forma essa
informação lhe foi concedida. Este estudo procurará compreender a necessidade de
alterações nas informações facultadas aos reclusos aquando da sua reclusão, de modo a
garantirmos a esta população um cumprimento de pena íntegro.
This project presents a reflection about the information given to the prisoners during the execution of their sentences or measures in a prison. It is intended to reflect on the rights of prisoners in prisons, specifically with regard to the right to clarify information about the behaviors that the inmate population must adopt in the local where they are serving their imprisonment. In the theoretical context, a review of the literature on deprivation of liberty and the guarantee of the rights of prisoners will be made, and several examples of information that are to be transmitted to the prison population and their families are also addressed. On the other hand, in the empirical context, it is proposed to carry out a study, using the participation of the inmates, of the common regime, from the male ward of the Prison Establishment of Santa Cruz do Bispo, where it is proposed to present an informative flyer and two consequent, questionnaires, in order to understand the information they have in relation to the prison establishment to which they are attached, and in what form this information has been granted. This study will try to understand the need for changes in the information provided to prisoners at the time of their detention, in order to ensure this population a full sentence.
