Abstract(s)
Currently, oral cancer continues to represent a significant challenge worldwide, mainly due to its high incidence and late detection, resulting in a high mortality rate. To tackle this situation, it is crucial to implement prevention campaigns to raise awareness about oral cancer, its risk factors, signs and symptoms and to promote healthy habits. To create an educational song to teach children about the importance of oral self-examination and promote healthy habits from an early age through a playful and accessible approach, a narrative review was carried out using the Pubmed, B-on, Science Direct and RCAAP databases. To create the formative artistic activity - a song - lyrics will be developed that are informative, easy to memorize and appropriate for the age group of the children. The lyrics will include the main stages of self-examination in a sequential and playful way. By devising artistic methods, such as music and drama, to be integrated into oral cancer prevention education, the aim is to contribute to more engaging and effective learning for children and adolescents. These approaches increase knowledge and promote preventive behavior, reducing the incidence of oral cancer in the long term.
