Abstract(s)
A “Casa do Fundo da Rua” pertencente à família Serpa Pinto é um edifício de habitação nobre e o único exemplar de arquitectura barroca na aldeia de Boassas. Este é a peça chave de uma investigação, ainda a decorrer, que tem como principal objectivo analisar as diferentes formas de valorização da casa nobre enquanto património evolutivo-vivo, que com o passar dos tempos, sejam eles históricos ou culturais, tem resistido a diversas transformações responsáveis por uma clara e crescente perda de identidade, fazendo com que existam diferentes modos de apreciação e valorização dos elementos construídos e do próprio contexto onde o objecto se insere ao longo de diferentes períodos. Deste modo, é importante uma compreensão clara e minuciosa dos elementos ligados não só à geografia, arquitectura, heráldica e cultura, mas também à própria genealogia, resultando numa profunda análise que certamente contribuirá para um desenvolvimento sustentável da aldeia de Boassas, da região e manutenção da memória da família da casa.
Casa do Fundo da Rua belongs to Serpa Pinto family. It is a noble house building and the only type of baroque architecture in the village of Boassas. It is a key piece of an investigation, which is still ongoing, with the main objective to analyse the different ways of valuation and appreciation of the noble house evolutive patrimony. Along the times, the house has endured many transformations, which are accountable for an evident loss of its identity. This has contributed to the emergence of different modes of valuation and appreciation of the elements built and the context where the object is inserted over different periods. Thus, it is important to establish an evident and thorough understanding of the building elements, related with not only geography, architecture, heraldry and culture, but also related to its genealogy. This broad analysis will certainly contribute to a sustainable development of Boassas village, the region and to the conservation of Serpa Pinto family remembrance.
