- Le vécu de l’hépatite C chez des femmes migrantes vivant en Île-de-FrancePublication . Maia, Marta AntunesNous avons interrogé quatre femmes migrantes, d’origines culturelles diverses, contaminées par le virus de l’hépatite C, afin d’analyser l’influence du contexte social et du parcours migratoire sur la gestion de la maladie. La condition de femme et le statut de migrant peuvent constituer des facteurs aggravants dans le vécu de la maladie car le degré de vulnérabilité et de précarité des femmes et des migrants est plus important que celui de la population en général. L’existence ou non de stigmatisation et de rejet, de soutien de l’entourage et d’accès aux soins sont des éléments fondamentaux dans le vécu de l’hépatite C et de son traitement. Les individus des classes défavorisées sont les plus vulnérables face à la maladie et sont également ceux dont la propension à se soigner est la plus faible. Les immigrés font, en général, partie de ces groupes d’individus. We interviewed four migrant women, from different cultural origins and infected with hepatitis C virus, in order to analyze the influence of social context and migratory course on the disease’s management. The condition of being a woman and the migrant’s statute can constitute factors worsening the living of the disease, because the degree of vulnerability and precariousness associated to being women and migrants is more important than within the population in general. The existence or absence of stigmatization and rejection, of support of the entourage and of access to health care are fundamental elements in living of hepatitis C disease and its treatment. The individuals from underprivileged classes are more vulnerable in facing the disease and they also are those whose propensity to take care of themselves is lower. In general, the immigrants are included in these groups of individuals.
- Les représentations de la sexualité fémininePublication . Maia, Marta AntunesTodas as sociedades desenvolvem uma concepção daquilo que caracteriza cada um dos géneros. Mas, frequentemente, a mulher é determinada sobretudo pela sua função de mãe e o prazer sexual é-lhe simbolicamente proibido. Nas representações dos adolescentes, opera-se uma distinção entre a rapariga “séria”, a prostituta e a “leviana”, que corresponde a uma escala de valorização, função do comportamento sexual. Nesta lógica, a “leviana” perturba a ordem social mais do que a prostituta pois esta exerce uma sexualidade “de profissão” que supõe a inexistência de prazer sexual feminino.
