O presente estudo pretende analisar o impacto do lúpus eritematoso sistémico na qualidade de vida num grupo de doentes portugueses portadores de lúpus, tendo como pergunta de partida “Como percecionam a sua qualidade de vida, os doentes portadores de lúpus?”.
Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, descritivo e transversal. A população é constituída por doentes portadores de lúpus eritematoso sistémico, inscritos na Associação de Doentes com Lúpus, sendo que a amostra é de 30 indivíduos.
O instrumento de colheita de dados utilizado foi um questionário, denominado instrumento SF-36 versão 2, sendo um instrumento de avaliação da qualidade de vida, que avalia o modo como as manifestações de uma doença e/ou o seu tratamento são experienciados por um indivíduo.
Após o tratamento e análise de dados, os resultados evidenciam que, tal como a revisão da literatura menciona, há uma maior predominância da doença no sexo feminino, sendo que a idade dos doentes portadores de lúpus varia entre um mínimo de 22 anos até um máximo de 56 anos, com idade média de 41 anos.
Foi possível verificar que os doentes portadores de lúpus, percecionam a sua saúde como sendo razoável, sendo que o seu estado de saúde se encontra aproximadamente igual, quando comparado com o que acontecia há um ano.
Os doentes portadores de lúpus sentem-se maioritariamente limitados em atividades de vida diárias de caráter violento e atividades moderadas.
No que diz respeito à presença de dor a grande maioria dos doentes teve dores, desde muito fracas a muito fortes.
This study aims to analyze the impact of systemic lupus erythematosus in the quality of life in a group of Portuguese patients with lupus, taking as a starting question "How perceive their quality of life, patients with lupus patients?". This is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The population consists of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, enrolled in the Association of Patients with lupus, and the sample is 30 individuals. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire called the SF-36 version 2 instrument and an assessment instrument of quality of life, which evaluates how the manifestations of a disease and / or its treatment are experienced by an individual . After the data processing and analysis, the results show that, as the literature review mentions, there is a higher prevalence of the disease in women, and the age of patients lupus patients varies between a minimum of 22 years to a maximum 56, with a mean age of 41 years. It found that patients lupus patients, perceive their health as being reasonable, and their health status is approximately the same when compared to what happened a year ago. Patients lupus patients feel mostly limited in daily activities of violent character and moderate activities. With regard to the pain the vast majority of patients had pain from very low to very strong.
