A construção sintática nos processos de leitura e escrita em crianças e adolescentes com síndrome de Down, tema desta dissertação, busca apresentar os benefícios da intervenção precoce com o uso do material e gestos do Método dos Dedinhos®, para a aceleração das habilidades e competências das crianças e adolescentes com a síndrome de Down. A linguagem é um importante mecanismo para as atividades sociais do sujeito e esta investigação, tem como objetivo geral: analisar como se dá a construção sintática nos processos de leitura e escrita de crianças e adolescentes com Síndrome de Down, através do material e gestos do Método dos Dedinhos®. Para isso, foram criados cinco objetivos específicos que conduziram o processo de investigação: 1. Analisar em bibliografia recente como o uso de pistas visuogestuais auxiliam o desenvolvimento da linguagem oral de crianças com síndrome de Down. 2. Investigar se pistas visuogestuais podem auxiliar no desenvolvimento de leitura e escrita de crianças e adolescentes com síndrome de Down, através de estratégias e/ou métodos mais utilizados com esta população. 3. Investigar sobre o desenvolvimento sintático na leitura e escrita de crianças e adolescentes com síndrome de Down, através de bibliografia recente. 4. Analisar se o uso do material e gestos do Método dos Dedinhos® pode auxiliar no processo de desenvolvimento sintático da leitura e da escrita da adolescente estudada neste trabalho, através de intervenções clínicas. 5. Questionar se a utilização do material e gestos do Método dos Dedinhos® podem auxiliar professores, terapeutas da fala, pais e crianças e adolescentes com síndrome de Down, no processo de desenvolvimento sintático da leitura e da escrita. Para responder a esses objetivos, utilizou-se como metodologia de investigação, a abordagem voltada para o estudo de caso com o cariz qualitativo. Obteve-se como resultados o desenvolvimento sintático da leitura e escrita a partir de intervenções clínicas com o material Varal do Método dos Dedinhos®.
The syntactic construction in the processes of reading and writing in children and adolescents with Down syndrome, the subject of this dissertation, seeks to present the benefits of early intervention with the use of material and gestures of the Little Fingers Method, for the acceleration of children's skills and competences. and adolescents with Down syndrome. Language is an important mechanism for the subject's social activities and this investigation has as its general objective: to analyze how the syntactic construction occurs in the reading and writing processes of children and adolescents with Down syndrome through the material and gestures of the Little Fingers Method. For this, five specific objectives were created that led the investigation process: 1. To analyze in recent literature how the use of visual-gestural cues help the development of oral language in children with Down syndrome. 2. Investigate if visual-gestural cues can help in the development of reading and writing of children and adolescents with Down syndrome through strategies and/or methods most used with this population. 3. Investigate the syntactic development in reading and writing of children and adolescents with Down syndrome through recent bibliography. 4. To analyze if the use of material and gestures of the Little Fingers Method can help in the process of syntactic development of reading and writing of the adolescent studied in this work through clinical interventions. 5. To question whether the use of material and gestures from the Little Fingers Method can help teachers, speech therapists, parents, children and adolescents with Down syndrome in the process of syntactic development of reading and writing. To respond to these objectives, the approach focused on the case study with a qualitative nature was used as a research methodology. The results were the syntactic development of reading and writing from clinical interventions with the Little Fingers Method Clothesline.
