Intervenção precoce: uma análise da satisfação das famílias apoiadas no Município de Jequié

| dc.description.abstract | O trabalho que aqui apresentamos procura dar ênfase à família como unidade de intervenção precoce, família essa que traz no seu contexto uma criança de alto risco ou com risco estabelecido na idade pré-escolar, período importante para o desenvolvimento humano. O estudo teve como objetivo, identificar e analisar o grau de satisfação das famílias com crianças com atraso no desenvolvimento dos dois a seis anos apoiadas pela equipe de intervenção precoce de um centro de educação especial no município de Jequié, no interior da Bahia. A amostra foi constituída por dez famílias, oito mães e dois pais, de crianças com necessidades educativas especiais, aos quais foi aplicada a versão portuguesa da Escala Europeia de Satisfação da Família em Intervenção Precoce (Cruz et. al., 2003) constituída por sessenta e seis itens complementada com uma entrevista individual, semi-estruturada, realizada junto das mesmas famílias. Os resultados revelaram que na globalidade, o serviço de intervenção precoce parece corresponder às expectativas das famílias que evidenciaram em suas respostas, o serviço, como “bom,” correspondendo a um elevado nível de satisfação aliado ao maior domínio referenciado: a relação entre pais e profissionais. A partir destes resultados, conclui-se que, embora a intervenção precoce alcance o envolvimento das famílias, ainda é necessário um esforço no que se refere ao ambiente social, domínio de menor grau de satisfação. Este facto desperta a necessidade de uma melhor adaptação do serviço numa perspectiva integrada e compartilhada nos seus variados contextos. Assim, foi possível compreender que a participação da família no processo de intervenção dos filhos é em grande parte determinante para seu desenvolvimento, pelo que surge reforçada a importância de uma prática centrada na família e seus respectivos contextos, implementado por uma equipe multidisciplinar para uma melhor satisfação e funcionamento do serviço de intervenção precoce. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The research presented here seeks to emphasize the family as an early intervention unit, a family that brings in its context a high risk child or a child with established risk at the pre-school age, an important period for human development. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the level of satisfaction of families with children with developmental delay from the ages of two to six years old, supported by the early intervention team of a special education center in the municipality of Jequié, in the interior of Bahia. The sample was composed with ten families, eight mothers and two fathers, of children with special educational needs, to whom were applied the Portuguese version of the European Scale of Family Satisfaction in Early Intervention (Cruz et al., 2003) consisting of sixty six items complemented by an individual, semi-structured interview performed with the same families. The results revealed that, as a whole, the early intervention service seems to attend the expectations of the families that showed, through their responses, the service as "good," corresponding to a high level of satisfaction associated to the greatest domainreferenced: the relationship between parents and professionals. On the basis of these results, it can be concluded that, although the early intervention reaches the involvement of the families, an effort is still needed regarding the social environment, domain of lower level of satisfaction. This fact raises the need for a better adaptation of the service in an integrated perspective and shared in its various contexts. Thus, it was possible to understand that the participation of the family in the process of intervention of the children is largely determinant for their development, whereby the importance of a family-centered practice and its respective contexts is reinforced, implemented by a multidisciplinary team for a better satisfaction and management of the Early Intervention service. | pt_PT |
