This study adresses the theme of pharmaceutical advice in medicines and other products for animal use. They should be managed, in the same way as human medicines, taking into account the specific needs and physiology of each animal. This study intends to alert to the fact that in many cases, pharmacists and phamacy technicians, often provide inadequate veterinary advice to their clients. This limitation is directly related to pharmaceutical schools providing insufficient instructions pertaining to veterinary matters. Other conclusions can be also drawn in this research. By examining a list of ranking sales for medicinal veterinary products for the year 2009, (supplied by a pharmaceutical supplier company) one can understand which types of veterinary products are most requested in a pharmacy. This study also provides a description of daily realities pertaining to veterinary advice and instruction in pharmacy. This includes which products are most requested, the kind of advice people are looking for, and the capability of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to answer the needs of their clients.
