Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal analisar o impacto da metodologia de coaching no desempenho profissional e pessoal. Trata-se de um estudo de casos, ancorado numa abordagem qualitativa exploratória. Participaram dois coachees aos quais se aplicou a metodologia de coaching, tendo-se avaliado oito dimensões antes e após a intervenção (autoconhecimento, motivação para o trabalho, qualidade dos relacionamentos pessoais e de trabalho, desempenho como líder/funcionário, contrato psicológico - implicação organizacional, ambiente de trabalho e comunicação, contribuição da intervenção nos desempenhos relatados e perceção da evolução do desempenho pessoal e dos colegas). Os principais resultados baseados na análise das histórias de vida individuais e nas avaliações relativas às perceções do impacto da intervenção mostraram a eficácia da metodologia no desenvolvimento profissional e pessoal dos intervenientes em todas as áreas das suas vidas e com um impacto visível nos resultados operacionais e de gestão da organização. Investigações futuras devem ser realizadas, no sentido de fortalecer a validade das conclusões a que se chegaram.
The present work has as its main objective to analyze the impact of coaching methodology in professional and personal performance. This is a case study, and anchored in a qualitative exploratory approach. Attended two coachees which applied the methodology of coaching, and evaluated eight dimensions before and after intervention (self-knowledge, motivation to work, quality of personal relationships, work performance as leader/employee, psychological contract-organizational involvement, work environment and communication, contribution of coaching intervention in performance, and perception of the evolution of personal and colleagues performance). The main results based on analysis of individual life stories and evaluations concerning the perceptions of the impact intervention, showed the effectiveness of the methodology in professional and personal development of participants in all areas of their lives and with a visible impact on operational results and organizational management. Future investigations should be carried out, in order to strengthen the validity of the conclusions reached.
