Abstract(s)
Objetivo: avaliar a eficácia de Pilates em indivíduos adultos com lombalgia crónica inespecífica.
Metodologia: pesquisa computorizada nas bases de dados Pubmed, EBSCO e PEDro, de modo a identificar estudos que avaliaram, diagnosticaram e reabilitaram indivíduos com Lombalgia Crónica.
Resultados: nesta revisão foram incluídos 6 artigos contendo 318 indivíduos, sendo que todos se referem à eficácia do método de Pilates como tratamento da lombalgia crónica inespecífica, ainda que nem todos os artigos avaliam os mesmos parâmetros.
Conclusão: o método de Pilates demonstra ser eficaz na diminuição dos sintomas, bem como na melhoria da força, equilíbrio e controlo do movimento, que promovem um aumento significativo da qualidade de vida no quotidiano dos pacientes diagnosticados com lombalgia crónica.
