Eutanásia: perspetivas dos alunos do 1º e 4º ano da licenciatura de Enfermagem da UFP

Abstract(s)
O presente estudo aborda a temática da eutanásia focando-se na opinião dos alunos de Enfermagem do primeiro e quarto ano sendo este o objetivo principal. Pretende-se também inferir se esses mesmos alunos gostariam que a prática da eutanásia fosse legal.
Trata-se de um estudo descritivo pelo facto de se expor os pensamentos e opiniões e também transversal devido aos limites de tempo bem definidos.
Encontra-se dividido em três fases: conceptual, metodológica e empírica. Na primeira fase pode-se encontrar toda a pesquisa realizada com base em artigos e livros. Abordou-se a temática da Enfermagem e as suas teóricas e também foram estudados os termos da eutanásia e suicídio assistido. Em seguida, procedeu-se à abordagem das perspetivas das várias igrejas e religiões e também da problemática da eutanásia versus não ressuscitar. Por último estudou-se o código deontológico dos enfermeiros. Na segunda fase explica-se a metodologia do trabalho realizado e, na última, pode-se observar a análise dos dados obtidos nos questionários.
Foi realizado um questionário com 22 perguntas aos alunos do primeiro e quarto ano, do qual se pode concluir que 80% dos alunos concorda em alguns casos com a prática da eutanásia e que apenas 3% não concorda. Dos 40 alunos estudos, percebe-se então que 32 concordam em alguns casos sendo que 14 são do 1ºano e 18 são do 4º ano.
Assim levantam-se questões para próximos estudos, uma vez que, seria interessante perceber se existiram alterações nos pensamentos dos alunos do primeiro ano após realizarem os ensinos clínicos.
This study approach the theme of euthanasia focusing on the opinion of Nursing students from the first and fourth year, this being it’s main goal. It is also intended to understand if these students would like the practice of euthanasia to be legal. This is a descriptive study because it exposes the thoughts and opinions and also transverse due to well-defined time limits. It is divided into three phases: conceptual, methodological and empirical. In the first phase there is all the conducted research based on articles and books. It approaches the theme of Nursing and its theorists and were also studied the terms of euthanasia and assisted suicide. Then, it carried out with the perspectives of the several churches and religions, as well as the problem of euthanasia versus non-resuscitation. Finally, it is studied the nursing deontological code. In the second phase, it is explained the work methodology and in the last one it can be observe the analysis of the results achieved in the questionnaires. It was carried out a questionary with 22 questions, to the first and fourth graders, from which it can be concluded that 80% of the students in some cases agree with the practice of euthanasia and that only 3% do not agree.
