Abstract(s)
A entrevista
The international traffic of human beings for sexual purposes is a major crime as it violates the human rights act. This crime, that keeps multiplying with globalization in a multifaceted and invisible way, specializes more and more in its ways of acting, this specialization being one of the reasons for the increasing rise of profit. This study will be qualitative, exploratory and descriptive with resource to enquiry by use of semi structured interview, constructed specifically for this end. The semi structured interview was conducted on three participants that identified themselves as victims of sexual traffic, their ages ranging from 27 to 33 years old. As for the results, the interviewees unanimously admitted that there aren’t mechanisms to prevent or identify possible cases of sexual traffic and, as such, no specialized mechanisms that could effectively bring results exist, these would especially be needed in the areas of education, health, justice, security and finance, guarantying the reduction of risk factors identified by the participants, such as: domestic violence, poverty and alcohol. This study aims to generate more awareness on the necessity to act and intervene so that this type of crime can be prevented and fought against, through the specialization of volunteers and professionals from diverse institutions involved on the worldwide war against traffic
