Introdução: A Organização Mundial da Saúde divulgou em 2015 que a população idosa mundial era cerca de 12,3% e a estimativa para 2050 seria chegar até 22%.O idoso está propenso a diminuição das habilidades funcionais que é parte do processo de envelhecimento em si e/ou do acometimento de enfermidades, precisando muitas vezes de cuidados de fisoterapia. Objetivo: Analisar quais as percepções dos idosos sobre a humanização na intervenção do tratamento de fisioterapia. Metodologia: Estudo qualitativo, realizado a idosos a realizar atendimento de fisioterapia. Efetuaram-se entrevistas semi-estruturadas no período de 10 de junho de 2018 até 27 de julho de 2018, em clínicas de fisoterapia da cidade de Tupã, interior de São Paulo, com os seguintes critérios de inclusão: pacientes com mais de 60 anos de idade; ambos os sexos; sem alterações cognitivas diagnosticadas; realização de tratamento fisioterapêutico; capazes de se comunicar através da verbalização oral. As respostas foram transcritas e analisadas, através da análise de conteúdo para identificar a perceção de cada paciente sobre a humanização no atendimento de fisioterapia, tendo sido definidas 9 categorias a priori: Dignidade, aspetos interpessoais, confiabilidade, comunicação, garantia, eficácia, empatia, receptividade a autonomia. Resultados: Participaram 30 idosos de ambos os sexos, sendo 22 mulheres (73%) e 8 homens (27%). As idades dos participantes variaram entre 61 anos e 91 anos. Da análise dos discursos salienta-se que os idosos entendam que o atendimento fisioterapêutico destaca-se com respeito pela dignidade, pelos aspetos interpessoais, confiabilidade, percecionando com menor destaque a empatia e a autonomia. Conclusão: Conclui-se que os idosos estudados percebem o atendimento de fisioterapia como sendo humanizado.

Objective: To analyze the perceptions of the elderly about humanization in the intervention of the physiotherapy treatment. Methodology: Qualitative study, carried out on the elderly to perform physical therapy care. Semi-structured interviews were conducted between June 10, 2018 and July 27, 2018, at the physiotherapy a clinics in the city of Tupã, in the interior of São Paulo, with the following inclusion criteria: patients over 60 years of age; both sexes; without diagnosed cognitive alterations; physiotherapeutic treatment; able to communicate through oral verbalization. The responses were transcribed and analyzed through content analysis to identify the perception of each patient about the humanization in the physiotherapy care, having been defined 9 categories a priori: dignity, interpersonal aspects, reliability, communication, assurance, efficacy, empathy, receptivity to autonomy. From the analysis of the speeches, it is emphasized that the elderly perceive that the physiotherapeutic care stands out for the respect for dignity, for the interpersonal aspects, reliability, perceiving with less emphasis the empathy and the autonomy. Conclusion: It is concluded that the elderly studied perceive the physiotherapy care as being humanized.
