Background: TECAR therapy is a recent technique that has been an asset in the treatment of musculoskeletal pathologies. Objective: to verify the effectiveness of TECAR therapy in patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Methodology: A computer search in Pubmed, PEDro, Lilacs, Science Direct, EBSCO, RCAAP, Cochrane, Web of knowledge and Scielo, to identify randomized controlled studies that evaluated alone and/or in combination with other physiotherapy techniques, the effect of RCT on musculoskeletal disorders. The PEDro scale was used to assess the methodological quality of the selected articles. The search strategy followed the PRISMA flowchart. Results: This literature review included 5 randomized controlled studies that included a total of 227 participants of both sexes. The methodological quality was in average 8/10 on the PEDro scale. Conclusion: We can conclude that TECAR therapy has beneficial effects in the treatment of different musculoskeletal pathologies, such as: (low back pain, gonarthrosis, delayed-onset muscle soreness, chronic pelvic pain, and knee arthroplasty).
