Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho analisa o processo de desenvolvimento de um dos vários espaços públicos da cidade do Porto, em concreto o eixo entre o Liceu Rodrigues de Freitas e o Liceu Carolina Michaëlis.
O objetivo principal consiste em identificar as vontades e os intervenientes responsáveis pelo processo de idealização do eixo. Desta forma, a análise deste espaço público vai abordar a relação do eixo com os instrumentos de planeamento da cidade e com o edificado adjacente ao mesmo e vai analisar cronologicamente os diferentes momentos de construção das várias peças que constituem o caso de estudo.
O resultado da análise dos diferentes temas propostos a analisar, demonstram que a elaboração deste eixo urbano, com uma significativa importância formal e funcional não apresenta uma relação direta com nenhum instrumento de planeamento da cidade, foi ainda possível constatar que apesar da ausência de um plano pré-determinado, os vários intervenientes foram capazes de articular coerentemente as suas ações ao longo do processo de desenvolvimento do eixo.
The present work analyses the process of development of one of the several public spaces of the city of Porto, namely an axis between Rodrigues de Freitas high school and Carolina Michaëlis high school The main objective is to identify the wishes and the actors responsible for the process of idealization of the axis. In this way, the analysis of this public space will approach the relation of the axis with the instruments of planning of the city and with the edification adjacent to the same one and will also analyze chronologically the different moments of construction of the several parts that constitute the case of study. The result of the analysis of the different themes proposed to analyze, demonstrate that the elaboration of this urban axis, with a significant formal and functional importance, does not present a direct relation with any planning instrument of the city and it was also possible to verify that despite the absence of a plan, the various actors were able to coherently articulate their actions throughout the development process of the axis.
