| dc.description.abstract | Introdução: Na Fisioterapia, a flexibilidade é um dos parâmetros mais importantes na avaliação do paciente, tanto para melhorar a qualidade de vida, como para garantir a possibilidade de realização das atividades da vida diária e performance. Um dos testes mais comumente utilizados na avaliação da flexibilidade dos membros inferiores, é o teste de Thomas. No entanto, existem casos em que a realização deste teste, devido à pega na articulação do joelho durante a sua execução, pode provocar dor. Foi nesse âmbito que se decidiu sugerir uma nova versão, permitisse avaliar a flexibilidade dos membros inferiores, sem provocar sintomas dolorosos. Assim, o presente estudo objectiva verificar se a mudança de pega, não coloca em tensão a estrutura do joelho cinematicamente, e poderá assim ser uma solução viável. Objetivo: perceber as repercussões biomecânicas (cinemáticas e musculares) da execução da versão portuguesa do Tomas Test (VPTT) e sua relação com na função neuromuscular. Metodologia: Análise cinemática da VPTT numa amostra de 9 indivíduos. Resultados: Após a análise dos dados obtidos, os resultados mostram que não existem diferenças significativas, permitindo concluir que a VPTT pode ser uma opção viável Conclusão: A VPTT é uma opção viável para a realização da avaliação da flexibilidade, em pacientes que apresentam dores na estrutura do joelho e pode assim ser usada como complemento na avaliação ao paciente. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: In physiotherapy, flexibility is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of the patient, both to improve the quality of life and to guarantee the possibility of performing activities of daily living and performance. One of the tests most commonly used in assessing lower limb flexibility, is the Thomas test. However, there are cases in which performing this test, due to the grip on the knee joint during its execution, can cause pain. It was in this context that it was decided to suggest a new version that would be able to evaluate the flexibility of the inferior members, without provoking painful symptoms. Thus, the present study aims to verify if the change of grip does not stress the knee structure cinematically, and may thus be a viable solution. Objective: to understand the biomechanical (cinematic and muscular) repercussions of the Portuguese version of the Tomas Test (VPTT) and its relation to the neuromuscular function. Methodology: cinematic analysis of VPTT in a sample of 9 individuals. Results: After analyzing the obtained data, the results show that there are no significant differences, allowing to conclude that VPTT may be a viable option Conclusions: VPTT is a feasible option for the assessment of flexibility in patients who present with pain in the left ventricle. The results show that there are no significant differences between the two groups, allowing the conclusion that VPTT may be a feasible option. Structure of the knee and can thus be used as a complement in the assessment to the patient. | pt_PT |
