Abstract(s)
This study was carried out within the scope of the Curricular Unit of the 4th year Degree in Nursing, School of Health of the Fernando Pessoa University and entitled: "Prevention in injuries of the lower limb in soccer practitioners: Contribution of a systematic review of the literature for Nursing ". Sports activities, which include football practice, bring many direct health benefits, however, they are also the cause of multi-level impact injuries. In the literature, lower limb injuries are the most frequent in soccer practitioners, so we wondered how intervention could be done to minimize these injuries. Aware of the importance of this theme, especially for nurses who work in the field of sport, this study was carried out to identify existing scientific production on interventions for the prevention of lower limb injuries in soccer practitioners. As far as the methodology was concerned, a systematic review of the literature was carried out, using the descriptors Sport, sportsman, soccer match, soccer player, soccer player, nurse, Nursing, rehabilitation, tibiotarsal sprain, ankle spain, ankle, lower members and knee injury. From the research carried out in the databases SCIELO®, MEDLINE®, SPORTDiscus® and Cinahl Plus®, 153 articles were found which, after reading them in full, resulted in a sample of 10 publications. In this project 10 studies are presented, of which 4 conclude that there is a positive result in the prevention programs of lower limb injuries with proprioceptive training, but the remaining 6 studies show that there are no favorable effects in the prevention of lower limb injuries. It was concluded that many studies were developed in an attempt to prevent these lesions, however the proposals for prevention did not obtain the expected effect, and it was also concluded that in none of them is reflected the role of the nurse.
