Abstract(s)

Methodology: Research on computerized databases on Pubmed/Medline, B-on, Scielo and PEDro to identify studies that assess the physiotherapy, vaccum bell and surgery intervention in PE. Results: This review included 16 studies involving 1512 patients. From the studies included in this review, 2 evaluated the Physiotherapy in the PE, 4 take into account psychosocial factors, 3 refer to use of the orthosis vaccum bell and 7 evaluated the cardiorespiratory function. Conclusions: The present study suggests that conservative treatment may contribute to the maintenance of the PE, shows that surgical repair influence on psychosocial factor, however, contributing to the improvement in lung function results are controversial. In the future, it is extremely important to develop experimental randomized controlled studies to clarify issues.
