Abstract(s)
Psychological support, which is finally getting the recognition it deserves, is a benefit that everyone should be privy to. However, it is noted that one of the professions that suffers the most from traumatic contexts and accidents, the police, not only does not receive due attention from the academic community, but is also not entitled to economic or state contributions. One of the main objectives of this study begins by appealing to the importance of mental health within law enforcement agencies, demonstrating results obtained over a period of time by other authors, which prove what the consequences and problems exist for those who do not have psychological help, partially justifying the use of toxic coping methods and get the pure point of view of those who put their lives at risk every day. A research proposal is elaborated that corroborates the statistical data already reached by other studies, national and international, and that allows answering all the previous answers in a broader way, with a bigger sample and more institutions involved.
