Abstract(s)
O futebol é o desporto mais popular do mundo e apresenta um crescente na incidência de lesões, contribuindo negativamente para as despesas dos clubes e para a performance dos atletas. A análise das estratégias de prevenção é essencial para determinar quais são eficazes para diminuir o número de lesões no futebol. Objetivo: Determinar a efetividade do treino de força na prevenção de lesões em jogadores de futebol. Metodologia: Realizou-se uma pesquisa computorizada nas bases de dados Pubmed, EBSCO, Web of Science e no motor de busca Google Académico. A pesquisa incluiu as palavras-chave: (‘’strength training’’), (‘’injury prevention’’) e (‘’football’’ OR ‘’soccer’’) de modo a identificar artigos que verificassem a eficácia do treino de força na prevenção de lesões em jogadores de futebol. Resultados: 6 estudos cumpriram os critérios de elegibilidade para a revisão, constituindo 2042 atletas. Conclusão: Esta revisão sugere que o treino de força possa ter efeitos preventivos em lesões em atletas que pratiquem futebol, desde que sejam utilizados protocolos com os exercícios e duração adequados.

Analyzing injury prevention strategies is vital to determine their effectiveness and lower the number of injuries in football. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of strength training in injury prevention in male football players. The search included the following keywords: (‘’strength training’’), (‘’injury prevention’’) and (‘’football’’ OR ‘’soccer’’). To determine the methodology quality of the articles, the PEDro scale was used. Results: 6 articles matched the criteria for this review, with a sample of 2042 football players. Conclusion: This review suggests that strength training can help prevent injuries in football players if the proper exercises and duration of the protocol are used.
