Abstract(s)
Objetivo: comparar a eficácia do programa “The
Introduction: glenoumeral joint is the most requested joint in handball, however not always the most injured. When injury occurs it leads to a deficit in mobility and functionality of entire upper limb. Purpose: to compare the effectiveness of the “The OSTRC Shoulder Injury Prevention Program” program proposed by the Oslo Sport Trauma Research Center in the medium term and to analyze whether there is a reduction in painful symptoms of the glenohumeral joint, in the senior handball male category. Methods: application of the OSTRC prevention program in clubs of the 1st and 2nd national division. Results: the results obtained in the study are not statistically significant when comparing the individuals subject to the application of the protocol with individuals who did not do the protocol. Conclusion: we found that in the medium term, the implementation of the protocol does not seem to induce changes in the risk of injury. We suggest the application of this from the pre-season and until the end of the sport season in order to verify its effectiveness.
