Abstract(s)
Na presente dissertação de mestrado analisa-se a biografia de Victor Laloux, e de JosĂ© Marques da Silva, as suas formaçÔes na Ăcole Nationale et SpĂ©ciale des Beaux-Arts, os seus estĂĄgios nos gabinetes de arquitetura e os seus exemplos como professores acadĂ©micos.
IrĂŁo ser analisados e comparados projetos dos arquitetos entre 1890 e 1920, os anos de mais provĂĄvel influĂȘncia do mestre Victor Laloux, sobre o mestre JosĂ© Marques da Silva, e do perĂodo da Belle Ăpoque. Essa comparação incidirĂĄ, nomeadamente, arquitetura religiosa, arquitetura ferroviĂĄria, arquitetura de equipamentos, arquitetura residencial, tanto analisando projetos como as obras efetivamente executadas.
Em especĂfico, na arquitetura religiosa irĂŁo ser confortadas, a proposta de Catedral para o Grand Prix de Rome e a Igreja de Saint Martin de Tours, de Victor Laloux, com o projeto de Marques da Silva para a Igreja da Paroquial de Cedofeita, assim como, o da Igreja de SĂŁo Torcato.
Na arquitetura ferroviĂĄria serĂĄ pareada a Gare de Tours com a Estação de SĂŁo Bento, e a Gare dâOrsay com a Estação de SĂŁo Bento.
Na arquitetura de equipamentos, irĂĄ ser comparado o HĂŽtel de Ville de Tours com o Teatro de SĂŁo JoĂŁo e o Liceu Alexandre Herculano. Os edifĂcios de Marques da Silva, o Teatro Nacional de SĂŁo JoĂŁo, o Liceu D.Manuel II e a sede da companhia de seguros âA Nacionalâ, serĂŁo postos face a face com o HĂŽtel de Ville de Roubaix de Victor Laloux.
Na arquitetura residencial irĂĄ ser comparada a Villa des Bambous com a Moradia Lima JĂșnior e a Moradia Ramos Pinto.
In this master's thesis we analyze the biography of Victor Laloux and JosĂ© Marques da Silva, their training at the Ăcole Nationale et SpĂ©ciale des Beaux-Arts, their internships in architecture offices and their examples as academic professors. Designs of these architects between 1890 and 1920 will be compared and analyzed, the years of more likely influence of the master Victor Laloux over JosĂ© Marques da Silva, and the period of the Belle Ăpoque. That comparison will be exerted, namely, in religious architecture, railway architecture, public service architecture and residential, both over design proposals and works that were carried out. In particular, in religious architecture, the submission for a Cathedral for the Grand Prix de Rome and the Church of Saint Martin de Tours, by Laloux, will be confronted with Marques da Silvaâs proposals for the Parish Church of Cedofeita and the Church of SĂŁo Torcato. In railway architecture, the Gare de Tours and the Gare dâOrsay will be paired off with the SĂŁo Bento Station. In terms of equipment architecture, the HĂŽtel de Ville de Tours will be compared with the SĂŁo JoĂŁo Theater and the Alexandre Herculano Lyceum. The buildings of Marques da Silva, the Teatro Nacional de SĂŁo JoĂŁo, the Liceu D.Manuel II and the headquarters of the insurance company âA Nacionalâ, will be brought face to face with the HĂŽtel de Ville de Roubaix by Victor Laloux. In residential architecture, the Villa des Bambous, in Cannes, will be collated with the Ramos Pinto Villa and Lima JĂșnior Villa.
