Abstract(s)
O presente projeto pretende refletir acerca do estado da educação em contexto prisional, bem como analisar o desenvolvimento de certas práticas educativas dentro da prisão, verificar se este tipo de ensino responde ou não ás necessidades e de que forma se organiza, de maneira a promover o bem-estar psíquico e físico desta população.
Relativamente à componente teórica, irei centrar-me no surgimento da educação formal, desde as civilizações mais antigas até aos dias de hoje onde se realça a Declaração Universal dos Direitos do Homem.
Seguidamente irei abordar o conceito de educação formal e o sistema educativo em Portugal, explicando os diferentes tipos de ensino e como funcionam. Após isto, irei focar-me na educação formal para jovens e adultos em contexto prisional, demonstrando o impacto que o ensino e a formação profissional poderão ter, não só na evolução da vida académica, mas também na evolução da vida pessoal e profissional de cada recluso.
Por fim, na componente empírica, será apresentado e proposto um plano de intervenção denominado de “Permite-te ensinar-me”, tendo como principal objetivo incentivar e sensibilizar os reclusos para a importância da educação para o futuro aquando da libertação.
This project intends to reflect on the state of education in a prison context, as well as to analyze the development of certain educational practices within the prison, to verify if this type of education responds to the needs and in what form is organized, in order to promote the physical well-being of this population. Regarding the theoretical component, I will focus on the emergence of formal education, from the earliest civilizations to the present day where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is highlighted. Next, I will address the concept of formal education and the education system in Portugal, explaining the different types of education and how they work. After that, I will focus on formal education for young people and adults in prisons, demonstrating the impact that education and professional training can have not only on the evolution of academic life, but also on the evolution of personal and professional life in each inmate. Finally, in the empirical component, an intervention plan called "Let me teach myself" will be presented and proposed, with the main objective of encouraging and sensitizing prisoners to the importance of education for the future upon their release.
