Abstract(s)
The norms are technical documents produced for the purpose to standardize and guide professionals in any field of knowledge and conduct your jobs and services with a certain level of quality and so deliver a final product suitable for the consumer. In general, the norms are a set of laws, standards, specifications that help the professional to direct your work to deliver a product of the highest possible quality. In the case of slabs or any conventional reinforced concrete structure, the situation is not very different, there are different norms all over the world, but with the same objective, to deliver reinforced concrete structures, supplying the needs of quality, safety and custody. In this dissertation, two important norms that address the subject about design of reinforced concrete structures: the Brazilian standard NBR 6118:2014 and the Portuguese standard NP EN 1992-1-1 from the set of European standards related to reinforced concrete projects called Eurocode 2. As this is a very comprehensive topic, this dissertation will have the main focus of development in the study of reinforced concrete slabs among its various types. The present dissertation will contemplate a bibliographic review of the theme and its details, using the most renowned Brazilian and Portuguese literatures, comparing its concepts, equations, coefficients, values, considerations and peculiarities of each. In a second step, there will be practical applications of the two standards in the same slab model with their due comparative analysis not only of the results, but also of the whole process itself until the end.
