dc.description.abstractIntrodução: A paralisia cerebral (PC) é um grupo de condições caracterizadas essencialmente por uma disfunção motora, podendo estar associada a défices cognitivos e sensoriais decorrente de uma lesão não progressiva, mas frequentemente mutável do encéfalo em desenvolvimento. Objetivo: identificar os diferentes métodos de fisioterapia no tratamento de crianças com PC espástica. Metodologia: foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica recorrendo a bases de dados Pubmed, Sciencedirect e PEDro, incluindo artigos de acesso livre, estudos randomizados controlados, estudos realizados em humanos, em inglês, publicados nos últimos 10 anos, numa amostra constituída por idade inferior a 18 anos e com diagnóstico de PC espástica. Resultados: 1428 Artigos, encontrados, dos quais 8 foram incluídos nesta revisão de acordo com os critérios de inclusão. Conclusão: foi possível concluir, que existem várias técnicas de intervenção, que trazem melhoria no tratamento de crianças com PC, e benefícios na sua função motora e espasticidade.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractIntroduction:Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of conditions characterized essentially by motor dysfunction, which may be associated with cognitive and sensory deficits resulting from a non-progressive, but often changeable injury to the developing brain. Objective: to identify the different methods of physiotherapy in the treatment of children with spastic CP. Methodology: a bibliographic research was made using Pubmed, Sciencedirect and PEDro databases, including free access articles, randomized controlled trials, studies made in humans, in English, published in the last 10 years, in a sample constituted under the age of 18 years and with diagnostic of spastic CP. Results: 1428 articles were founded, of which 8 were included in this review according the inclusion criteria. Conclusion: it was possible to conclude that there are different intervention techniques, that bring improvement in the treatment of children with CP, and benefits in their motor function and spasticity.pt_PT
