Abstract(s)
Através do envolvimento escola - família e comprometimento de ambas com o sucesso escolar dos alunos, será possível concretizar valores que impeçam o fracasso escolar e possibilitem a formação de uma sociedade eficiente e produtiva, com sucesso não apenas intelectual, mas profissional e social.
Com esta permissa definiu-se como objectivo geral deste trabalho: Analisar as principais causas apontadas pelos pais para justificar o não acompanhamento da vida escolar de seus filhos, e elaborar mecanismos para promover a participação efetiva da família no desenvolvimento escolar do aluno, buscando criar condições para promoção de uma educação construtiva e justa que possibilite o sucesso escolar dos mesmos. Foram inquiridos através de questionário 38 pais de alunos da Escola Estadual de Ensino Médio Presidente Tancredo Neves, situada no município de Placas, estado do Pará - Brasil.
Concluiu-se que a ausência ou pouca participação dos pais na vida escolar dos filhos e na escola, se deve a muitos fatores conjugados, como a falta de tempo, devido a jornada de trabalho e até mesmo, em muitos casos, pelo fato dos pais não saberem o que devem fazer, e como fazer, em querer participar mais ativamente, porém não saber como efetivar essa participação. Ressalta-se aqui também, a importância de uma iniciativa da escola nesse sentido, para aproximar os pais através de atividades conjuntas e ao mesmo tempo auxiliá-los, orientando como proceder em relação à vida escolar dos filhos.
Through the school - family involvement and the commitment of both to the success of the students, it will be possible to realize values that prevent school failure and enable the formation of an efficient and productive society, with success not only intellectual but professional and social. The main objective of this study was: To analyze the main causes pointed out by the parents to justify the non-accompaniment of the school life of their children, and to elaborate mechanisms to promote the effective participation of the family in the student's school development, seeking to create conditions to promote a constructive and fair education that makes possible the school success of them. Thirty - eight parents of students from the Presidente Tancredo Neves State High School, located in Placas city, state of Pará, Brazil, were surveyed through a questionnaire. It was concluded that the absence or little participation of the parents in the school life of the children and in school is due to many factors, such as lack of time, due to working hours and even in many cases due to parents not knowing what to do, and how to do it, in wanting to participate more actively, but not knowing how to make that participation happen. It is also important to emphasize the importance of an initiative of the school in this sense, to bring parents together through activities and at the same time to help them, guiding how to proceed in relation to their children's school life.
