Uma referência no campo da ação humanitária, o Movimento Internacional da Cruz Vermelha e do Crescente Vermelho e, por sua vez, a Sociedade Nacional da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa desenvolve os seus esforços nacional, internacional e localmente. A nível local, é nas comunidades mais pequenas do país que se encontram os maiores desafios mas onde se encontram também muitos casos de sucesso e de superação. O presente trabalho procura verter a experiência de um estágio curricular de 300 horas realizado na Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa - Delegação de Cucujães (Oliveira de Azeméis), no seio de uma comunidade semi-rural, onde foram vivenciadas experiências em praticamente todas as valências da instituição - desde o apoio na gestão de projetos de cooperação internacional, ao apoio na gestão de voluntários, até ao socorrismo e comunicação externa da instituição. Do estágio realizado resulta o presente relatório que contém a descrição da entidade acolhedora e das tarefas realizadas e ainda uma aprofundada reflexão crítica. Este trabalho é enriquecido com um artigo científico subordinado ao tema do voluntariado.
An unquestionable reference in the field of humanitarian action, the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent and the National Society of the Portuguese Red Cross develop their efforts nationally, internationally and locally. At a local level, it is in the smallest of communities that the bigger challenges arise but also where many success stories and overcoming of challenges are found. This traineeship report seeks to display the experience of a 300-hour traineeship at the Portuguese Red Cross - Local Branch of Cucujães (Oliveira de Azeméis), in the heart of a semi-rural community, where practically all of the institution’s available responses where experienced - from management of international cooperation projects, management of volunteers, First Aid, to external communication. This report results from the traineeship carried out and contains a description of the hosting entity, of the tasks carried out as well as an in-depth critical reflection. This work is further enriched with a scientific article about the subject of volunteering.
