Abstract(s)

Num contexto de desenraizamento cultural e afetivo ao idoso, mesmo que este seja parte integrante e em grande desenvolvimento da sociedade actual, é denotado cada vez mais a problemática de violência doméstica contra as pessoas idosas. Este projeto de graduação tem como objetivo principal melhorar as capacidades e articulações do Modelo Integrado de Policiamento de Proximidade (MIPP), na vertente dos idosos, para que consequentemente este fenómeno diminua. Através de uma análise qualitativa feito, constatou-se a falta de formação dos elementos do MIPP nesta questão dos idosos, assim como uma grande necessidade de articulações com outras instituições capazes de solucionar alguns destes problemas. Com este melhoramento pretende-se fazer com que os elementos integrantes do MIPP sejam capazes de dar respostas e solucionar questões voltadas para os problemas relacionados com os idosos. As articulações são um ponto fulcral na medida em que auxiliam os agentes policiais a procurar soluções. In a society where values against the elderly have changed, (although they are an integral and big part of society) each time, it is more and more noticeable the problematic of domestic violence. This graduation project’s main goal is to improve the capabilities and articulations of the MIPP in relation to the elderly so that this big problematic can diminish. Through a qualitative study that was done, it was found that there is a big lack in what comes to the MIPP’s elements’ skills with the elderly. This study also showed that an articulation with other institutions is needed to give this problem a solution. With this improvement, it is expected that the people that compose MIPP will be able to give answers and solve questions in relation to the problems that involve the elderly. The articulation between MIPP and other institutions is very important because it helps police agents find answers.
