dc.description.abstractLately terrorist attacks in tourists’ destinations such as Egypt (November 2016), France (July 2016) or Belgium (March 2016) showed that terrorism is becoming more repeated threat, close to European safe zone and in popular tourists’ destinations part of daily life. Mainly those destinations were already victimized in the past. Researches on this topic of consumer behaviour in risky destination were already made in the past, but since the world is becoming more global and developed with new regional war zones and threats every day, new researches how perception changes after threating events in every period is needed. This dissertation aims to understand travel risk perception in tourism destinations and to compare of crisis management in selected destinations. For this purpose, it uses quantitative and qualitative approach. Quantitative method gives answers such as how security of destinations changed after the threat and how the threat has affected the image of the destination while qualitative method through the use of the interviews offers issues to understand different crisis management models and management response to a threat and recovery time. Thus, this research hopes to provide academic and managerial contributions for travel risk perception in tourism destinations and crisis management in selected destinations. The study is divided in two main parts: theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part explores the main concepts about the security of tourists and tourism consumer behaviour in risky decision-making. It also reviews crisis management in tourism destinations. Practical part offers an answer how consumer tourist behaviour changes through perceived risk. It also identifies impacts on affected tourism destinations and explores travels to revisit affected destinations.pt_PT
