Abstract(s)
When it comes to project management, in addition to defining the scope, deadlines and resources, it is necessary to involve everyone who influences or is influenced by it. These individuals are defined as stakeholders. Realizing the importance of stakeholder management to increase the success rate of projects in companies, this work aims to assess the influence of stakeholders in project management and propose a stakeholder engagement methodology for implementation in the process of managing projects of a public bank in Brazil. This investigation has a descriptive purpose, a qualitative nature and a deductive approach. The research is a single case study, with data collection through interviews guided by questionnaires and document analysis in order to understand the level of engagement of stakeholders in a project phase, define and execute their engagement strategies, and, at the end, evaluate the positive and negative aspects that occurred in the experimental phase. The results obtained proved to be satisfactory, and the proposed methodology was indicated for definitive implementation in the company after experimental use in another 5 projects in order to verify its application in other contexts.
