Abstract(s)
Paresthesia is a disorder caused by an injury to the nervous tissue, is a localized condition of the stunning region innervated by the nerve in question, Its main symptom is the lack of sensitivity in the affected region, but in more advanced stages of paresthesia, the patient may report altered sensitivity to cold, heat and pain, numbness, tingling, “hooked” and itching. The nerves most affected by this injury are the inferior alveolar nerve and lingual nerve, due to its proximity to the third molar, when its removal can occur damage these nerves.
