Abstract(s)
Objective: To verify the prevention of risk prevention in the elderly COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: A search was carried out in Pubmed, PEDro, Lilacs, Science Direct, EBSCO, RCAAP, Cochrane and Web of Knowledge databases to identify randomized controlled trials that evaluated the effect of physical therapy in the prevention of falls in senescents. The PEDro scale was used to assess the methodological quality of the selected articles. The PRISMA flowchart search strategy. Results: In this literature review, 6 randomized controlled studies were included, in which 506 elderly people participated. The studies had a methodological mean of quality of 6/10 on the PEDro scale. Conclusion: It can be determined that physical therapy has beneficial effects in preventing falls in the elderly. However, there is still no possibility of formatted physiotherapeutic programs, namely in a pandemic context.
