Abstract(s)
O alcoolismo no feminino, na idade adulta, é uma realidade com pouca visibilidade social e discursiva, dado que, em geral, as pråticas de consumo ocorrem no espaço privado. Para tal, contribui uma ordem de género que, no essencial, tende a associar o alcoolismo aos homens. A institucionalização é uma das medidas com maior eficåcia na transformação de vidas nas mulheres alcoólicas, sendo o papel do Serviço Social fundamental no sentido de articular e mediar situaçÔes, bem como de capacitar e consciencializar em todo o processo e na sua continuidade.
O presente trabalho resulta da nossa experiĂȘncia durante o estĂĄgio curricular e propĂ”e uma investigação qualitativa com vista a explorar a trajetĂłria de vida de uma mulher com doença alcoĂłlica, institucionalizada numa Comunidade de Inserção Social.
AtravĂ©s de um guiĂŁo de entrevista concebido para o efeito, pretende-se averiguar diferentes dimensĂ”es da vida da participante referentes ao perĂodo que antecede o internamento e as suas perspetivas de futuro. Espera-se que os resultados possam contribuir para um exame fundamentado das prĂĄticas profissionais em vigor e, eventualmente, o desenho de futuras investigaçÔes na ĂĄrea em apreço.
Alcoholism in the female, in adulthood, is a reality with a low social and discursive visibility, because, most of the times, consumption practices occur in private space. This happens, due to a gender order that, in essence, tends to associate alcoholism with men. Institutionalization is one of the most effective measures in the transformation of lives in alcoholic women, and the main role of Social Service is to articulate and mediate situations, as well as in training and raising awareness throughout the process and its continuity. The present study appears as a result from our experience during the curricular internship and intends a qualitative research in order to explore the life trajectory of a woman with alcoholic disease, institutionalized in a Community of Social Insertion. Through an interview guide designed for this purpose, it is intended to investigate different dimensions of the participant's life regarding the period prior to institutionalization and future projections. It is hoped that the results can contribute to a exhaustive examination of the current professional practices and, eventually, the design of future investigations in the area.
