O cancro da mama afeta muitas mulheres em todo o mundo e apesar da diminuição da
mortalidade pela intervenção precoce, continua a ser notório pelas sequelas físicas, psicológicas e
estéticas nas mulheres. A intervenção da fisioterapia é uma necessidade n o tratamento das mulheres e
deve fazer parte integrante da equipa multidisciplinar. Objetivo: Foi objetivo deste trabalho realizar uma
revisão da literatura das diferentes modalidades fisioterapêuticas no linfedema e na funcionalidade pó s
cirúrgicos em mulheres com cancro da mama Metodologia: Foi realizada uma pesquisa nas bases de
dados PubMed, e PEDro, utilizando as palavras chave: Breast cancer and mastectomy or tumorectomy,
Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Exercice e Lymphedema. Resultados: Após aplicados os critérios de
seleção resultaram 9 artigos, com uma pontuação de 5,11 na escala de PEDro, fazendo parte um total
de 597 participantes. Das diferentes abordagens terapêuticas do linfedema, encontrou se a terapia
convencional, a massagem drenagem linfática, a pressoterapia e o Kinesiotape e na funcionalidade o
exercício terapêutico aeróbico, o exercício resistido, o exercício dentro de água, o exercício
supervisionado, o exercício de Pilates e Ioga. Conclusões: A grande maioria dos estudos encontrou
diferenças entre os grupos controlo e experimental, mas nem sempre estas foram significativas, podendo
ser explicados pela diferença na metodologia utilizada, pela diferença na duração, intensidade e pela
dose terapêutica.

Physiotherapy intervention is a necessity in the treatment of women and must be an integral part of the multidisciplinary supported. Objective The objective of this study was to perform a literature review of the different physical therapy modalities in lymphedema and functionality in women post surgical breast cancer. Methodology A research was performed in the PubMed, B'on and PEDro databases, usi ng the keywords: Breast cancer and mastectomy or tumorectomy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Exercice and Lymphedema. Results After applying selection criteria, 9 articles resulted, with a score of 5.11 on the PEDro scale, including a total of 597 partici pants. Of the different therapeutic approaches to lymphedema, conventional therapy, lymphatic drainage massage, pressotherapy and Kinesiotape were found and, in the functionality, aerobic therapeutic exercise, resistance exercise, exercise in water, superv ised exercise, Pilates exercise and Ioga. Conclusions The majority of studies found differences between the control and experimental groups, but these were not always significant, which can be explained by the difference in the methodology used, the diffe rence in duration, intensity and the therapeutic dose.
