| dc.description.abstract | Segundo a Sociedade Portuguesa do Acidente Vascular Cerebral (2006): Os AVC’s são responsáveis por milhões de mortes em todo o mundo. Portugal é, de entre os países da Europa Ocidental, aquele com a taxa mais elevada de mortalidade. Segundo Sá (2009, p.169) o AVC é um “ síndrome neurológico de instalação rápida, caracterizado por sintomas e sinais focais devidos a perda de função cerebral de causa vascular”. Os objetivos desta investigação foram: - Conhecer o conceito da população sobre AVC. - Saber o nível de conhecimento da população sobre sinais e sintomas de AVC. - Saber o nível de conhecimento da população sobre fatores de risco de AVC. - Saber o nível de conhecimento da população sobre Via Verde AVC. Para atingir os objetivos acima mencionados foi realizado um estudo de abordagem quantitativa, do tipo descritivo simples e transversal. Este estudo foi dirigido aos estudantes da Universidade do Porto sem formação na área da saúde, dada a extensão da população foi selecionada uma amostra de 50 indivíduos. Os indivíduos foram selecionados através do método de amostragem não probabilística acidental. Como instrumento de recolha de dados foi usado o questionário. Os dados obtidos foram tratados e analisados estatisticamente através do programa Microsoft Office Excel 2010, após o tratamento de dados estes foram apresentados sob a forma de tabelas. Após a apresentação, análise e interpretação dos dados pode-se concluir que a maioria da população tem conhecimento bom a muito bom sobre AVC, sinais e sintomas e fatores de risco de AVC. Sobre a Via Verde AVC podemos concluir que a população tem um desconhecimento quanto ao tema. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The strokes are responsible for millions deaths all over the world. According to the Sociedade Portuguesa do Acidente Vascular Cerebral (2006). Portugal is, among the countries of Western Europe, the one with the highest rate of mortality. Paraphrasing Sá (2009, p.169) stroke is a “Quick install neurological syndrome, characterized by focal signs and symptoms due to loss of cerebral function of vascular cause”. The objectives of this research were: - realize that the population mean by "stroke" - Learn about the public knowledge about stroke signs and symptoms. - Knowing the level of people's knowledge about stroke risk factors. - Understand awareness of society on “Via Verde AVC”. In order to achieve the objectives mentioned was carried out a quantitative approach, descriptive and simple cross. This study was aimed at students of University of Porto with no training in health. Given the extent of the population was selected a sample of 50 individuals. Subjects were selected through random non-probability sampling method. The information gathered in this study was processed and analyzed statistically using Microsoft Office Excel 2010, after treatment of this information was presented in tables. After the presentation, analysis and interpretation of this information we can conclude that most of the sample has good knowledge or very good knowledge about stroke signs, symptoms and risk factors. About “Via Verde AVC”, may conclude that the sample is not aware about the theme. | pt_PT |
