Abstract(s)
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the differences in dynamic balance and functional capacity in two non-professional soccer teams from two different countries before and after an official 90-minute match. Methods: twenty soccer players from different countries were analyzed. Dynamic balance and functional capacities of the lower limbs, were evaluated using the YBT-LQ and the Hop Test, before and after a soccer game. Results: After the analysis it was found that both in Switzerland and in Portugal, there are statistically significant differences in both lower limbs after a game. When comparing the dominant and nondominant limbs between the two countries, it appears that there are only statistically significant differences in the previous YBT-LQ at the dominant limb level. Conclusion: This study seems to show that a soccer game can cause a decrease in functional abilities and dynamic balance, but these differences seem to be similar in both countries.
