Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho insere-se no âmbito do plano curricular do 4º ano da Licenciatura de Enfermagem da Universidade Fernando Pessoa. O tema abordado “Conhecimento dos Alunos do 4º Ano de Enfermagem sobre o Doente Colostomizado”.
A escolha do tema surge após o ensino clínico de Cirurgia, onde foi dada a oportunidade de assistir e colaborar nas consultas de enfermagem a doentes colostomizados.
Definida a problemática, opta-se por um estudo exploratório descritivo transversal com abordagem quantitativa, incidindo o estudo na colheita de dados através de um questionário efectuado a uma amostra de 40 alunos do 4º ano do curso de Enfermagem, realizado no dia 29 de Abril de 2010.
O tratamento dos dados é realizado com o programa informático SPSS for Windows, versão 18.0, e para a sua análise recorre-se à estatística descritiva através de medidas de tendência central.
Desta análise verifica-se que:
- A amostra é constituída na sua maioria (70%) por alunos do sexo feminino, e a moda é de 22 anos; - Os elementos da amostra que tiveram oportunidade de realizar cuidados a doentes colostomizados, correspondendo a uma percentagem de 97,5%, fizeram-no no ensino clínico de Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica (67,3%); - As três dificuldades mais assinaladas pelos inquiridos são os “ensinos”, a existência de “diferentes dispositivos” e o “prestar cuidados ao estoma”; - Quanto à questão que avalia os conhecimentos sobre ostomias 60,4%, dos inquiridos escolhem a opção “Uma colostomia pode ter apenas um estoma”; - Quanto à questão sobre quais os cuidados a ter com uma colostomia, os inquiridos assinalam a opção “Aferir as características de drenagem da colostomia, que são em forma de muco e com uma secreção sero-hemática” com 31,7%; -
Os elementos da amostra dão ênfase aos ensinos sobre alimentação, 33% privilegiam em detrimento das outras opções; - Os inquiridos consideram, respectivamente, com 90% e 85% a “preparação psicológica” e os “ensinos” como sendo “muito importante”.
The present work is inserted in the scope of the curricular plan of 4th year of Bachelor of Nursing at the University Fernando Pessoa. The boarded subject “Knowledge of the Pupils of 4th Year of Nursing on the Colostomized Patients”. This theme was chosen after the clinical training of Surgery, where the author had the opportunity to assist and collaborate in clinical nursing to sick colostomized people. After the definition of the problem, it was chosen an cross exploratory descriptive with sectional quantitative approach, focusing the study on collecting data through a questionnaire conducted on a sample of 40 students of 4th year of Nursing, realized on 29 April 2010. The processing of data was performed with the software SPSS for Windows, version 18.0, and for its analysis we used descriptive statistics through measures of central tendency. From this analysis it was found that: - The sample majority (70%) was female students, and mode is 22 years; - The elements of the sample that had the opportunity to perform colostomize patient care, corresponding to a percentage of 97,5% did so in the clinical teaching of Medical-Surgical Nursing (67,3%); - The three problems most frequently chosen by the inquired are the "teachings", the existence of "different devices" and the "provide care to the stoma"; - The question that assesses knowledge about ostomy 60.4% of respondents choosing the option "One can only have a colostomy stoma; - How much to the option of cares to have with a colostomy, the respondents chose “To survey the characteristics of draining of the colostomy, that are in form of mucous and with a sero-hematic secretion” with 31,7%; - The elements of the sample gives emphasis to the teachings on nutrition, 33% favored at the expense of other options; - The inquired chose, respectively, with 90% e 85% the "psychological preparation" and "teaching" as “very important”.
