Abstract(s)
Introdução: O Acidente Vascular Encefálico (AVE) é considerado a principal causa de morte e morbilidade em Portugal, sendo que vários autores têm demonstrado que o exercício apresenta benefícios em pacientes com sequelas de AVE. Objetivo: Verificar os efeitos de programas de atividade física/exercício físico na marcha de pacientes com sequelas de AVE crónico. Metodologia: Pesquisa computorizada na base de dados Pubmed, com o intuito de identificar estudos randomizados controlados, publicados nos últimos 5 anos em que fossem avaliados os efeitos de um programa de atividade física/exercício físico na marcha de pacientes com AVE crónico. Resultados: Após efectuada a pesquisa, foram incluídos 13 para análise, dos quais 8 focaram programas de exercício com treino de marcha numa passadeira e 5 focaram programas de exercício sem treino de marcha numa passadeira. Envolvendo um total de 442 participantes, com uma classificação metodológica de 6,3 em 10 na escala de PEDro. Conclusão: Com este estudo concluiu-se que, na maioria dos estudos, a implementação de um programa de atividade física/exercício físico teve uma influência positiva na marcha, em pacientes após AVE.
Introduction: Stroke it’s considered the principal cause of mortality and morbidity in Portugal, and some authors have been evidencing the physical exercise shows some benefits to patients with issues of chronic stroke. Objective: Evaluate the effects of an exercise/physical activity programs in the gait of patients with issues of chronic stroke. Methodology: Computerized research in the PubMed database, with objective to identify randomized controlled articles, published in the last 5 years and that evaluated the effects of an exercise/physical activity programs in the gait of patients with issues of chronic stroke. Results: After finish all the research, 13 studies were included, which 8 of them was focused on exercise programs with gait training on a treadmill and 5 on exercise programs without gait training in a treadmill. A total of 442 patients were involved, with a methodological classification of 6,3 in 10 on the PEDro scale. Conclusion: This review concluded that in the most studies, the implementation of an exercise/physical activity program have a positive influence in the gait of patients after a stroke.
