Abstract(s)
As Olimpíadas e as Paralimpíadas ocorridas em 2016 no Brasil, e especificamente mais na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, impulsionou o governo em investir no Desporto Paralímpico. A possibilidade da inserção da modalidade de desporto paralímpico no currículo da disciplina de Educação Física da rede pública de ensino do município, fez com que despertasse o desejo em investigar sobre essa temática. Diante disso, esse estudo teve como objetivo geral analisar se o currículo educacional brasileiro contempla a iniciação do desporto adaptado nas aulas de Educação Física da educação regular para alunos com deficiências físicas e intelectuais, e como objetivos específicos: 1. Verificar se o professor de Educação Física tem formação para atender a demanda de desporto na educação básica. 2. Levantar as deficiências existentes no desporto paralímpico e as atividades escolhidas pelos atletas. 3. Verificar quais são as formas de seleção dos atletas que competem atividades paralímpicas e se a escola regular contribui com o sucesso desse atleta. Neste estudo, participaram vinte professores de Educação Física que lecionam na rede pública de ensino do Rio de Janeiro. Para a coleta dos dados, utilizou-se um questionário em que foram inquiridos os participantes sobre a temática proposta na investigação. Os resultados obtidos foram tabulados e categorizados conforme a análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2016) e constatou-se que há uma proposta do município em inserir o desporto paralímpico na disciplina de Educação Física, embora ainda não seja uma proposta nacional, o estado do Rio de Janeiro, e principalmente, a cidade do Rio de Janeiro busca implementar a formação e a inserção dessa modalidade nas aulas de educação física como forma de incentivar os alunos com necessidades educativas especiais.
The 2016 Olympics and Paralympics in Brazil, and specifically in the city of Rio de Janeiro, prompted the government to invest in Paralympic Sport with the possibility of the inclusion of the modality of Paralympic Sport in the curriculum of the Physical Education discipline of the public school system of the municipality that initiated investigation of the topic. Given this, this study aimed to analyze if the Brazilian educational curriculum includes the initiation of sport adaptation in physical education classes of regular education for students with physical and intellectual disabilities, and as specific objectives: 1. Verify if the physical education teacher has training to meet the demand of sport in basic education. 2. Address the deficiencies in paralympic sport and the activities chosen by the athletes 3. Check the methods of selection of athletes competing in Paralympic activities and whether the regular school contributes to the success of these athletes. Twenty physical education teachers who teach in Rio de Janeiro's public schools participated in this study. For data collection, a questionnaire was used in which participants were asked about the proposed topic in the research. The results obtained were tabulated and categorized according to the content analysis of Bardin (2016) and it was found that there is a proposal by the municipality to insert the sports activities of inclusion in the Physical Education discipline, although it is not yet a national proposal, the state of Rio de Janeiro, and especially, the city of Rio de Janeiro seek to implement the training and insertion of this modality in physical education classes as a way to encourage students with special needs.
