Abstract(s)
Objective: To verify the efficacy of the use of the foam roller (FR) in the increase lower limb range of motion. Methodology: A search was conducted in the Pubmed \ Medline and (PEDro) databases to identify randomized controlled trials published over the last 10 years showing how the use of foam roll can increase the range of motion of the lower limb. Results: In this review 5 studies were selected involving a total of 156 individuals, of which 65 perform RF. Of these studies 4 evaluate effects on the hip, and 1 on the ankle, with positive effects on Range of Motion. Conclusion: The foam roller can be a useful tool to increase the range of motion of the lower limb and can be used in the general context of the human body.
