Abstract(s)
prevalentes a nível mundial.
The human papilloma virus is the most common viral infection and it’s infection is one of the serious public health problems more prevalent worldwide. With the beginning of the marketing of preventive vaccines, the introduction of the tetravalent vaccine in the Nation Immunization Programme, and more recently the nonavalent vaccine, there was an increase of information disclosed by different means. Health education is a very important tool for nurses that constitute a preponderant role as educator and broadcasters. The realisation of this investigation arises not only by the need to understand the knowledge os students about the human papilloma virus, but also the gaps that still existis. As a general objective outlined to evaluate the knowledge about HPV of the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the University Fernando Pessoa, in 2018. Is a descriptive observational study, quantitative paradigms and transversal plan, that had as target population all students enrolled in graduate courses and graduate with master of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the University Fernando Pessoa, in the year 2018. The data collection tool was a questionnaire of Medeiros e Ramada (2010). The respondents constitute 1,9% (n=68) of the population and it was possible to observe that the respondents present mostly a deficit in knowledge about the transmission, prevention and symptoms of the infection with HPV.
