Abstract(s)
A presente dissertação de Mestrado tem como objetivo a análise de conteúdos
teóricos que relacionem a arquitetura, as crianças e o espaço de recreio por forma a
elaborar um inquérito cujos resultados possam servir de base ao projeto de
construção ou remodelação dos espaços de recreio localizados no Concelho de Vila
Nova de Gaia.
É dada especial atenção ao papel que a criança pode ter no desenvolvimento
de espaços para ela mesma, realçando a intenção de colaborar diretamente com
crianças durante e numa fase prévia ao projeto de arquitetura.
O objeto de estudo atenta sobre o recreio escolar e baseia-se na compreensão
de conceitos que traçam um linha unificadora entre a criança e o espaço que esta
frequenta e nesse sentido compreender as vontades, os sonhos e as necessidades da
criança em relação ao espaço de recreio do seu ambiente escolar.
A matéria que aqui se aborda pretende também deixar em aberto a
possibilidade de novos estudos, podendo o objeto de estudo ganhar uma maior
abrangência, permitindo que este instrumento seja adaptado e aplicado a contextos de
recreio em espaço público, quer em ambiente urbano, quer rural.
This Master's thesis aims to analyse theoretical concepts that relate to architecture, children and the playgrounds in order to draw up a survey whose results can be used as the basis for the construction or recovery project of the playgrounds located in Vila Nova de Gaia. Special attention is given to the role that the child may have in the development of spaces for themselves, highlighting their willingness to cooperate directly with children during and at an early stage to architectural project. This study subject, focused on the school playground, is based on the knowledge of concepts which give a unifying line between the child and the space that it attends and accordingly understand the wishes, dreams and the child's needs in relation to the playground of their school environment. The matter will deal also aims to leave open the possibility of further studies, the object of study can gain greater scope, this instrument can also be adapted and applied to recreational contexts in public space, whether urban environment or rural.
